Ok I have been making pages and taking pictures! One week later and I haven't dropped the ball yet!
I have actually taken a picture everyday. So here are 3 days worth of pictures. I knew I wouldn't post everyday. Sorry. So you'll have to put up with a bunch of pictures in this post. The first pictures is of Makayla and the boy. Nice guy. He lives next door. That may be a little too close for my comfort!

This is Saturdays picture. I have been so sad to see so many trees being cut down after the ice storm. Tomorrow pictures is going to be the piles and piles of limbs that are piled in front of every ones houses. It made me start thinking about the growth rings of the tree. You can tell what kind of year a tree had by the growth rings of the tree. I am curious what my growth rings would look like after the last couple of years.

This picture just makes me happy! This is our ribbon collection. Andrea promise me that you will make everyone stand around my grave in Roy G Biv please! It makes me so happy!

This is my page 5 entry for 31 pages in January class. I've stayed on track so far! Is anyone else doing this with me?

Then I got this CRAZY idea last night. Emily did this challenge on her blog last year. I decided that I was going to do it this year. Remember in my art class when I have to make an ATC? Well it was fun. It was a quick way to get some creativity out. So here's my 1st week. I made mom do one too. Then Christina came over and I made her promise to play along too. Now Andrea are you up to the challenge? Chrissy how about you? I just take 30 mins or so once a week. I'll email you the theme for the week. This week was... something you are proud of... wanna play?

I have a few firsts....

This is my first challenge....
This is my first page with no pictures....
and I think this is the first time I've made a page with all scraps.
This is a page for a challenge from Elsies blog.
I had some help from my good friends Chrissy too. She made this cute little picture and I've had it filed in the back of my head that I wanted to make one too. I was laying in bed thinking about this page and decided that I would use it here. Thanks for the inspiration Chrissy. Man, will you come and crop with me someday?
I have my picture of the day to post. Yeah me... day 3 and I'm still doing it. Now day 203 may be in question...

I made this cute little flower to remind me to do more of this. I just couldn't get a scrapbook page to come out of my head but I really wanted to play. So I thought this might be fun:)

This is my Christmas present... and I love it!!!! We didn't do adult presents this year. It was one of the best decisions we made all year. But Leland did get me this. He was pretty sure I would be getting myself one if he didn't get me one. Now mom has her eye on one too.

Now this is my picture of the day. I know it's nothing big but.... I took me a long time to get it to look this way. And I don't want to forget what it looks like:)I worked all days Sunday and even some on Monday. This is my moms' craft room which I hijacked. I moved everything around and reorganized. I have been so productive since everything has a place now. My mom and I are very different on that subject. She is a member of the flat surface society- if the is a flat surface it should have something on it:)

This is my side of the room. I have my most used supplies here. And my paper is on the bottom shelf.

This is my mom's side. And this is a picture of the shelves that have tools and extra supplies. There is also a closet full. But I couldn't get a good picture of that. It a walk-in closet and every shelf is filled with stuff to make more stuff. That's my kind of closet. And the last picture is of the shelves that hold my mom's papers. And I thought I had and addiction. So we now have the room set up so 4 people can set down and play. And don't worry about bringing any supplies I think we have you covered!

This is my #2 picture of 365. It's happy shoes. These are one of Makayla's Christmas presents. They are so cute. I want a pair too!

These are the next 2 entries in my 31 layouts in January. I'll tell all of you mom's with kids at home who never have time to get anything done... just buy the kids the Wii. You will all kinds of time on your hands!
Happy New Year!
I've decided on some things I'm going to try for the new year. These are not big changes. Remember I'm not a good finisher.
Ok... yes I would like to loss weight. I'm going to start by not snacking. Lets see how that goes. I've done that before and really it does help.
And... I'm gonna do this... http://photojojo.com/content/tutorials/project-365-take-a-photo-a-day/ (I'll have to figure out how to make those short links) So I'm going to take a picture everyday. Think I can stick with that. It will be cool. I'm going to get a photo album to put them in. I love this idea. I know there are 366 days this year but I missed yesterday. Or I could cheat and do 2 today.

Here's my picture for today. I have been stressing over this calendar. It feels like there are too many things to do. All those are kid things... a game... a practice... a concert... I don't even have my stuff on there yet.
Anyone else want to play along? Jenny S? Andrea? Christina?

I am also going to spend less at the grocery store. I'm haven't figured out how to do that yet. But I'm going to watch the sale ads more and cut some coupons.
I'm also going to make the kids start doing some chores and giving them money for it. I know I'm a bad parent for not having already done this. But I am going to fix this problem. I'm tired for making 4 beds everyday!
And last but not least I signed up for this class....http://www.bigpicturescrapbooking.com/janchallenge.php It's free and you will have 31 completed layouts done at the end of the month. I have one done for yesterday. Now I need to get one done for today. You don't have to do them one at a time. You can do them all in a couple of days. But there are drawings every day for prizes and you have to post your page that day to win. At the end if you post 31 pages you are eligible for the grand prize. I now need to get some more pictures printed. I have done most of the 70 pictures I printed off before Christmas. Anyone want to play this game? anyone??????
Ok that my big plans for 2008. No snacks... spend less at the store... make the kids slaves...I mean help around the house... 365 pictures... and 31 pages in Jan.
Remember I'm not a finisher.. so if I fail please be kind:)

See you next year......

Man what a year it has been. I wish I could say I'll be sad to see it go. But in the truth is this year has worn me out... changed me... it's been hard. I'm afraid that 2008 may not be much different. Just some more of the same. But I'm really trying to be hopeful. I'm trying to learn the lessons that I'm being taught.
Leland's truck hit the skids on Friday. We'll find out what the damage is on Wed. Probably a new fuel pump. The dryer broke today and I washed my cell phone today. It will be 3 more weeks before I can get a new one too. So it you are trying to call me, sorry. So 2007 is going out with a bang.
Saturday was Fuller Christmas. Made a few scrapbook store stops.
Sunday I worked on mom's craft room. I now take part ownership over the room too. I tried to have stuff at home but there just isn't room. So everything is back over at her house and I now have my own bookshelf. Exciting times! I'll take pictures and post when it is all done. Today I did my annual "we can't start the new year with a dirty house" cleaning. Christmas is gone. Pictures are back where they go... that sort of thing. It is such a weird New Years Eve. We didn't have anyone over this year. I just couldn't do it this year. I'm not sure why. Maybe I didn't really feel like celebrating. Mom is still at work. Jordan went to a friends house for the night and Hannah and Makayla are over at the neighbors house. So it is very quiet. Weird but at the same time it seems like the perfect way to end this less than perfect year.
I never make resolutions. I would just break them. I have no follow through. If I start something I had better just keep going until it is done because I have the hardest time finishing things. Just look at my collage. It took me 17 years to get back to that! Anyway there are some things that I would like to do this year. I'll have to make a post about that when I decide that 2 or 3 things I'm going to focus on.
Well I hope that 2008 will be a very happy calm and perfect year for you and your family.... see you next year!

While the kids are busy with the Wii I've been doing my own kind of playing! I have been scrapbooking off and on for 3 days. I have 18 pages to show you. Can you believe that? 2 of them are from a week or two ago but the rest are from the last 3 days!
Hope you had a great Christmas.
We had a great time. Christmas Eve we just chilled out all day. I had everything done and ready by Sunday. There were no last minute trips to the store. I have not even driven my car since Sunday. Think it is missing me? I have not missed it!
Christmas Eve was our normal food extravaganza at mom and dad's house.
We opened presents at home Christmas morning. Then headed back over to mom and dad's house for breakfast and more presents. We then spent the day playing with out new toys.
I pulled off a miracle this year. The kids have been wanting a Wii. Ok I realize every kid in America has been wanting one but we have been a little short on funds lately. So my kids were just sure that we didn't have the money. And Makayla was just so sure that I would wait until the last minute and they were all gone. HA! We didn't have the money but... I didn't wait until the last minute! So they were shocked! It was the best! They have played with that thing non-stop. I can't wait until it's my turn. I'll leave you with some pictures of the moment that they realize they are now the proud owners of a Wii!

Well I guess school really was holding me back from blogging.
I turned my books in today! It is such a weird feeling. There is no closure. I thought I still had a week and a half of classes. Now it's just all over. I am so happy that there are no finals. Don't misunderstand me.
We took the kids to Carthage to see the lights tonight. This is our annual trek to see these lights. I thought the kids like to go. But the whole way there they were gripping about going. What is wrong with these kids? It's a tradition for goodness sakes. We stopped by the traditional Chinese restaurant and then off to see the lights. Well duh, there were 58,000 people without electricity this week. We should have checked around to make sure that the Carthage lights were not part of that group! So I guess the kids were not that disappointed.
I'm taking the kids to school tomorrow! I'm dropping them off and leaving them there even if there are no teachers there! They have been home for 4 days. I am a little nervous about having them all home for their 2 week Christmas break. I may have to start taking drugs to sedated myself!
Grandma and grandpa are still staying at mom and dads house. They are on day 5 of no electricity. I guess the electric bill will not be too shocking this month. When you have a whole week that you don't use any electricity your bill have got to be smaller, right?
Well I'll leave you with some Christmas light pictures. One is from our favorites restaurant. The other is some of the lights from last year.

I'm sure you'll hear from me again soon.

I've been make countdown to Christmas calenders. I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it. I made one for myself. Then mom and grandma liked it so much I made them one. I am telling you... when I get to heaven my crown will be so full of jewels that my neck may break!!! hahahaha!!! I've got to do something to make up for my nasty attitude......

I'm losing my mind I tell you... LOSING MY MIND!!!

I had planned on using this week to take test. But now I don't have to do that... so what do I do now?
I could scrapbook but I'm waiting for pictures from Winkflash.... so I don't have anything to work on. I tried but I just had no inspiration:(

The kids have been home for 3 days now. Maybe we should run away. I check out the cheep movies but there was NOTHING good on. If I take them to the mall they will just make me spend money. Not a good thing.

So..... I AM LOSING MY MIND!

{The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly}

Where should I start?
I'll start with the bad... ICE! Lots and lots of ice!

The Ugly... What ice does to trees. This is not just ugly it is sad. 2007 will go down as a very icy years. It started in Jan and will finish in Dec.

The Good.... because of the ice I don't have ANY finals. Now that is good!
Here is some more good... at least I thought it was good. Andrea had a booth at a craft show. I made some stuff to put in the booth. I guess they weren't as cute as I thought. I didn't do very well. Oh well I have already put them to good use at my house, so it's all good!

Well, if you are enduring the ice too... stay warm and safe! And if you are living in Costa Rice enjoying the sunshine well hope you know how lucky you are!
