what we did today....

Jordan has started weed eating.... not really his favorite thing to do.

Can't have a camera around without candid shots...

She spend the day outside with us...
We ALL helped plant the tree...

Yard work required a happy hour trip...
See that sad little tree? We tried to grow a tree and plant it... it didn't work. So we went out and bought a tree to replace it. Once there's a hole in the ground you can't just leave it there!

The roof finally got repaired....
and... the extent of my summer flowers. Flowers are expensive!

Gerti tried to kill this one the other day when she decided to escape out the window. She is driving me crazy!

Some more scrapbooking fun...

I have just been enjoying myself. I have been working a little bit too. Today we took the 2nd grade class I work with to George Washington Carver Park. It was a great day. Nice weather. I have a few more scrapbook pages and a picture of some bookmarks I made for my 2nd graders. Tomorrow will be the last day I go in. This end of the year stuff is KILLING me!
Oh yeah... my baby is a working girl! She got her first job today at McAlister's. You'll have to stop by and buy a sweet tea from her.

just couldn't get enough...

It was so good to get the paper out and play again. It was so good I kept it going. I made a few more pages and there are a few more in progress.
We had dinner tonight a Mason's house. It was good to get out and stretch those friend making skills. It was hard to not be home with my family. Missed cooking out with them. I feel the shift in my family coming and I'm not sure I'm ready for it. We are moving into those years where the kids are going places and doing things with out us. I hope God is preparing my heart for this.

Productivity...

I scrapbooked today! We had a couple of friends over and had a GREAT time. In about 10 hours I made 8 pages. They are all inspired from someone else but I'm still happy that they are done and I like the end results. It was good to set down with friends and play again. Come back Christina and Kathy and maybe next time Andrea wont get lost on her way over and Valerie will have to come and play too.

Remember I said things show up on your camera when you have teenagers at home? Here's another example... of T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

It's been crazy around here....

Friday morning we woke up to an inland hurricane... really I'm not lying.... the Joplin Globe even said so! Ok they said it was LIKE a hurricane. Makayla had to be at school at 6:30am on Friday. She had just left the house when the winds started up... 90 mile per hours winds! It was crazy! I bet there are 100 trees uprooted. Now these are not just little trees. These are huge old trees. And they look like someone just walked by and tipped the trees over. It was so weird. I took a few pictures. It is so sad to see so many trees gone.

We had a little bit of roof damage. Not to bad as compared to some of our neighbors. It was like someone stuck some leaves in a blender and left the lid off. There were little pieces of leaves all over the houses and cars.

Happy Mother's Day to me. The kids bought me some silverware. It will be so nice to have enough for everyone to have real silverware at Sunday lunch. I did not have 8 sets of anything left. Where does silverware go to?
Hannah and Jordan had their Spring Concert tonight. Hannah sang... she is 5th from the left on the top row.
Jordan is in band. He is part of the percussion group. He is so CUTE!Found this on my camera. You just never know what you will find on your camera when there are teenagers in the house!

I have my last class of the semester in the morning. I will finish up my CPR certification. I have been enjoying the last few days without classes. I have cleaned the house, done the laundry, and read a couple of books. Oh... I could get used to this life!
