See you next year......

Man what a year it has been. I wish I could say I'll be sad to see it go. But in the truth is this year has worn me out... changed me... it's been hard. I'm afraid that 2008 may not be much different. Just some more of the same. But I'm really trying to be hopeful. I'm trying to learn the lessons that I'm being taught.
Leland's truck hit the skids on Friday. We'll find out what the damage is on Wed. Probably a new fuel pump. The dryer broke today and I washed my cell phone today. It will be 3 more weeks before I can get a new one too. So it you are trying to call me, sorry. So 2007 is going out with a bang.
Saturday was Fuller Christmas. Made a few scrapbook store stops.
Sunday I worked on mom's craft room. I now take part ownership over the room too. I tried to have stuff at home but there just isn't room. So everything is back over at her house and I now have my own bookshelf. Exciting times! I'll take pictures and post when it is all done. Today I did my annual "we can't start the new year with a dirty house" cleaning. Christmas is gone. Pictures are back where they go... that sort of thing. It is such a weird New Years Eve. We didn't have anyone over this year. I just couldn't do it this year. I'm not sure why. Maybe I didn't really feel like celebrating. Mom is still at work. Jordan went to a friends house for the night and Hannah and Makayla are over at the neighbors house. So it is very quiet. Weird but at the same time it seems like the perfect way to end this less than perfect year.
I never make resolutions. I would just break them. I have no follow through. If I start something I had better just keep going until it is done because I have the hardest time finishing things. Just look at my collage. It took me 17 years to get back to that! Anyway there are some things that I would like to do this year. I'll have to make a post about that when I decide that 2 or 3 things I'm going to focus on.
Well I hope that 2008 will be a very happy calm and perfect year for you and your family.... see you next year!

While the kids are busy with the Wii I've been doing my own kind of playing! I have been scrapbooking off and on for 3 days. I have 18 pages to show you. Can you believe that? 2 of them are from a week or two ago but the rest are from the last 3 days!
Hope you had a great Christmas.
We had a great time. Christmas Eve we just chilled out all day. I had everything done and ready by Sunday. There were no last minute trips to the store. I have not even driven my car since Sunday. Think it is missing me? I have not missed it!
Christmas Eve was our normal food extravaganza at mom and dad's house.
We opened presents at home Christmas morning. Then headed back over to mom and dad's house for breakfast and more presents. We then spent the day playing with out new toys.
I pulled off a miracle this year. The kids have been wanting a Wii. Ok I realize every kid in America has been wanting one but we have been a little short on funds lately. So my kids were just sure that we didn't have the money. And Makayla was just so sure that I would wait until the last minute and they were all gone. HA! We didn't have the money but... I didn't wait until the last minute! So they were shocked! It was the best! They have played with that thing non-stop. I can't wait until it's my turn. I'll leave you with some pictures of the moment that they realize they are now the proud owners of a Wii!

Well I guess school really was holding me back from blogging.
I turned my books in today! It is such a weird feeling. There is no closure. I thought I still had a week and a half of classes. Now it's just all over. I am so happy that there are no finals. Don't misunderstand me.
We took the kids to Carthage to see the lights tonight. This is our annual trek to see these lights. I thought the kids like to go. But the whole way there they were gripping about going. What is wrong with these kids? It's a tradition for goodness sakes. We stopped by the traditional Chinese restaurant and then off to see the lights. Well duh, there were 58,000 people without electricity this week. We should have checked around to make sure that the Carthage lights were not part of that group! So I guess the kids were not that disappointed.
I'm taking the kids to school tomorrow! I'm dropping them off and leaving them there even if there are no teachers there! They have been home for 4 days. I am a little nervous about having them all home for their 2 week Christmas break. I may have to start taking drugs to sedated myself!
Grandma and grandpa are still staying at mom and dads house. They are on day 5 of no electricity. I guess the electric bill will not be too shocking this month. When you have a whole week that you don't use any electricity your bill have got to be smaller, right?
Well I'll leave you with some Christmas light pictures. One is from our favorites restaurant. The other is some of the lights from last year.

I'm sure you'll hear from me again soon.

I've been make countdown to Christmas calenders. I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it. I made one for myself. Then mom and grandma liked it so much I made them one. I am telling you... when I get to heaven my crown will be so full of jewels that my neck may break!!! hahahaha!!! I've got to do something to make up for my nasty attitude......

I'm losing my mind I tell you... LOSING MY MIND!!!

I had planned on using this week to take test. But now I don't have to do that... so what do I do now?
I could scrapbook but I'm waiting for pictures from Winkflash.... so I don't have anything to work on. I tried but I just had no inspiration:(

The kids have been home for 3 days now. Maybe we should run away. I check out the cheep movies but there was NOTHING good on. If I take them to the mall they will just make me spend money. Not a good thing.

So..... I AM LOSING MY MIND!

{The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly}

Where should I start?
I'll start with the bad... ICE! Lots and lots of ice!

The Ugly... What ice does to trees. This is not just ugly it is sad. 2007 will go down as a very icy years. It started in Jan and will finish in Dec.

The Good.... because of the ice I don't have ANY finals. Now that is good!
Here is some more good... at least I thought it was good. Andrea had a booth at a craft show. I made some stuff to put in the booth. I guess they weren't as cute as I thought. I didn't do very well. Oh well I have already put them to good use at my house, so it's all good!

Well, if you are enduring the ice too... stay warm and safe! And if you are living in Costa Rice enjoying the sunshine well hope you know how lucky you are!
